Scott Onstott

Scott is the author of 23 books at last count, has taught over a thousand students face-to-face, and his courses have millions of views worldwide. He is a trainer specializing in BIM, CAD, conceptual design, and realtime software. He was born and lived for 33 years in California and in the early aughts emigrated to British Columbia, where he currently lives with his wife and son. Scott is a dual US/Canadian citizen.

Scott himself has a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley (1992). 

In the late nineties/early aughts Scott taught 1000+ students in brick-and-mortar courses at UC Berkeley Extension, San Francisco State University and the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. 

Since then he has been educating students through his CDs/DVDs, ebooks & books and most recently streaming video courses.

In 2010 he created the documentary series, Secrets In Plain Sight, on patterns in art, architecture, urban design & the cosmos. Running time: 3 hours 43 minutes just for volume 1; viewed by many millions of people.

In 2016 he co-wrote a feature screenplay, Oil & Water, about a free-energy inventor’s collision with the oil industry. It’s a great story with huge potential!

Also in 2016, he designed and ran a Kickstarter for elegant and unique golden ratio calipers. 2087% funded!

He brought back the golden ratio calipers with a 2.0 version in another successful Kickstarter campaign in 2019. The Proportioners are now available for purchase here on this site.

Scott co-hosts sacred geometry weekend workshops for personal transformation in Ireland (ongoing). 

Scott has been an Autodesk authorized author and developer since the nineties, which is essentially a lifetime in computer-years!
